Définition
Frank Donald Drake, né le 28 mai 1930 à Chicago (États-Unis) et mort le 2 septembre 2022 à Aptos (États-Unis), est un radioastronome et astrophysicien américain, pionnier de la recherche de vie intelligente dans la Galaxie. Fondateur du projet SETI, on lui doit notamment l’équation de Drake, un modèle permettant d’estimer le nombre de civilisations potentielles dans la Galaxie.
